The Disc Golf course in Campbell River has 18 holes through a woodland area
in a large park. The Willow Point Sportsplex is located at 1800 South Alder
St. If this is your first time to Campbell River you will most likely be
travelling in to town on The Inland Island Hwy. You will turn into town on a
connecter called Jubilee Parkway. On this road you will take a left at the
first set of lights onto a road called Dogwood. Once travelling down Dogwood
you will take a right on to a road called Hilchey. This is the also the
fisrt set of lights which you will encounter on Dogwood. Alder is off of
Hilchey, you will want to turn left, and the park is one block in. You will
be able to recognize it by the large woodlands surrounding the parking lots.
In the second drive way is a lower parking lot where this first hole begins.
This is a new course and is having it's last nine holes finnised in March of
2004. Please get an updated map from inside at the receptions desk.
When in town please feel free to call Wade Walker at (250) 923-7374. Wade is
a Plastic Paradise representive, specializing in Innova Discs, chain link
baskets and consulting. He is always up for a game.
While in town there are many great places to eat:
The Willows Neighborhood Pub is the closest rest stop. It is located up
Alder from the park. At the top of the hill you will turn left onto Rockland
Rd. 2 blocks down on your left you will find the pub. It has great food and
a cold beer and wine store. 521 Rockland Rd. 923-8311
For a quick bite there is a Sub Way in Willow Point. If you turn left once
leaving the park and turn lft onto Hilchey Rd. you will travel down to the
ocean where you will need to turn right in to a small retail area. The Sub
Way is on the left corner at the first cross road. 58 Adams Rd.
If you will be staying in town for the evening, along the ocean is a Best
Western. It has large rooms, kitchenettes, a pool and a pub. This is
Freddie's Pub which has great wing specials on Friday and Wednesday nights.
462 South Island Hwy.(205) 923-4231
